Adolescent Baptism (7 yrs – 17 yrs)
According to the Church’s law regarding children, once a person has reached the age of discretion, which is about seven years old, and is able to determine right from wrong on their own, they are considered an adult with regard to the Sacraments.
Children over seven years old who are in need of Baptism and First Communion will attend the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for children, a class united integrally with the Mass and liturgical rites that draw them deeper into a relationship with Christ while preparing them intellectually and morally to live a Christian life in union with Christ and His Bride, the Church. RCIA for Children takes place on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 starting September 7th. Classes will take place at the Parish Hall.
